• Training Course in TV Reporting on Children Issues. Tbilisi, December 7-16, 2009

    Internews Georgia, in cooperation with Radio Netherlands Training Center (RNTC, the Netherlands) and Media Development Center (MDC, Bulgaria) welcomes applications for a ten-day training course in TV reporting on children issues. 12 TV journalists are eligible to take part in the training. Upon the completion of the course the participants will be awarded certificates.

    The application deadline is November 25, 2009.

  • Making Sense of EU Information Seminar Held in Telavi

    On October 30-31 the Making Sense of EU two-day information seminar was conducted for Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University students. The EU institutions, the role of EU in the global policy and EU cooperation with Georgia were discussed in the course of the seminar. 34 stidents from different faculties took part in the workshop.

  • Internews Georgia Announces Competition for Two Vacancies

    Internews Georgia announces competition for two vacancies within the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) project. Print media journalists are eligible to take part in the contest. The project is being implemented with the support of the European Commission.

     

  • Regional media in line with new media

    The “Internews” foundation hosted the workshops on civil journalism for the journalists of the regional news portal – REGIONS.GE partner newspapers on 14th, 15th and 16th of September. The project “Regional media in line with new media” was initiated by the “Publicity Group” and financially supported by the “Open Society Georgia Foundation”.

    On June 26-27 the Making Sense of EU two-day information seminar was conducted for Batumi State University students and professors. The EU institutions, the role of EU in the global policy and EU cooperation with Georgia were discussed in the course of the seminar.

     Internews Georgia invites 14-18 year old adolescents to participate in the production of Our Express. Semi-finalists will undergo one-week training in the basics of journalism. From September selected 6 participants will take part in the production of the TV program Our Express.

  • Internews arranged the information seminar ‘Making Sense of EU’ for Kutaisi University Students

    On May 29-30 the Making Sense of EU two-day information seminar was held for students of Kutaisi A. Tsereteli State University.
    The EU institutions, the role of EU in the global policy and EU cooperation with Georgia were discussed in the course of the seminar.

    The workshop was held within the framework of the Internews Georgia project Making Sense of EU funded by EU. The overall goal of the project is raising awareness of the Georgian youth about EU structures and characteristics of  EU work.

    Criteria for participants:

    a) Age 14-18
    b) Excellent skills in the Georgian language, both verbal and written;
    c) Good knowledge of conversational Russian;
