Discussed issues:
Mr. Giorgi Tugushi and Mr. Besarion Bokhashili discussed the activities planned within the framework of the project, specifically, significance of the reinforcement of monitoring and institutional capabilities of Public Defender’s Office. Also, the guests talked about the great importance of the enhancement of society’s consciousness in the sphere of human rights and supremacy of law.
During the transmission the guests discussed the matter of creation of the analytical section in the Public Defender’s Office which will assist the Office in conducting fundamental researches on the human rights issues, preparing effective reports, performing recommendations, conducting trainings and elaborating specific rules of monitoring.
Public Defender also talked about how big the opportunity of Public Defender’s institute is in order to implement its obligations without limitation in the boundaries of law. He named several obstacles as well.
The guests of the transmission discussed the legal base and how solid foundation does the legislation create for the effective functioning of Public Defender’s Institute.
