Media Activities: Maximising EU Presence in the ENP region-Armenia, Azerbaijan & Georgia

The action has been implemented since 2009 with the financial support of the European Union. It has been designed and implemented by Internews Georgia in Georgia, Media Support Internews NGO in Armenia and Internews Azerbaijan in Azerbaijan. The implementation of the action in all three countries is coordinated by Internews Europe (France) which is also responsible for the project activities in the EU. 

The overarching goal of the Georgian part of the action is to distribute information about the current relations and cooperation between the EU and Georgia within the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy; raise awareness about the projects and programmes implemented in Georgia with the support of the European Union; promote the European values; stimulate free and objective debate in the society about the work of the European Union;   

The action includes the following activities:

• Production of 10 twenty-minute documentary films by Internews Georgia and their broadcast by Rustavi 2;
• Production and live broadcast of 64 fortyfive-minute talk-shows by Radio Green Wave;
• Design of 16 four-page monthly print supplement by Internews Georgia and its distribution via the national newspaper 24 Hours;
• Production of 6 television reports for the youth television program “Chveni Ekspresi” (Our Express) after two kids of the production team travel to Europe.
