The four-page print supplement of the national newspaper “24 Hours” - Partner.east – narrates about the EU-Georgia partnership priorities and the projects implemented in Georgia with the financial support of the European Union.

The last, sixteenth issue of the “Partner.East” went through the report over the South Caucasus made by the European Commission. The front page of the newspaper outlined the report on Georgia over the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy the Commission published on 12 May 2010. Second article on the first page of the newspaper dedicated to the Europe Day celebration 2010.

The layout of the supplement devoted to the visit of Štefan Füle, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy, who has been recently visiting Georgia and other Caucasus States. The second part of the front page has also been taken by Štefan Füle, who has recently revealed his vision about the EU-Georgia’s relations. On the second page of the newspaper supplement author presented the resolution which has been drafted by the members of the European Parliament and adopted by the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The first page of the newspaper covered the official visit of Georgian delegation to Brussels and the meeting of Georgian Prime-Minister with high officials from the EU or Belgium government. Second article on the opening page devoted to the report made up by the Open Society Foundation. The research was about the monitoring of the ENP Action Plan. Also brief news on Environment Partnership of the Black Sea Synergy Initiative attracted the attention of the authors.

The first article of the newspaper overviewed a roundtable, which has been devoted to the Trust and Mistrust of Georgian society towards media. As for the second article, an article of Jose Manuel Barosso filled out the other part of the page. A chief Euro-commissioner wrote about the Climate Change and international processes after COP14. Article on the second page outlined the agreement between Georgia and the European Union on a comprehensive air services.

The front-page of the newspaper supplement was covered by the article – “22 New Houses to the Internal Displaced People”. On the same page it was followed by another news type article about the opening of the Community Education Centers. Another article touched upon the selection of the EU Commissioners by the European Parliament. The new appointees are presumed to deal with the enlargement issues. Article on the third page covered the existing problems in Georgian Psychiatric Centers and discussed the methods of fighting against discrimination.

The EU funded projects which are presumed to be conducted by the consortium of different organisations, envisages Media development in Georgia.

In the first article on the front page, journalist outlined the issue of the appointment of EU’s New Foreign Policy Chief Baroness Catherine Ashton and her performance in the European Parliament. The author discussed the details of the hearings stressed on her diplomatic skills and policy making methodology.
