Travelling in Europe

Young Caucasus journalists, who participate in the production of three youth television programs jointly called Kids Crossroad, traveled in Europe for two weeks in April 2009. Each country was represented by two young individuals. They traveled from Paris to Strasbourg to Brussels aboard the DVTV (independent nonprofit media center based in New York) famous CyberCar which had been shipped from News York to Europe especially for this project.

Traveling aboard the bus equipped with the state-of-art mobile TV production studio and a giant video wall mounted on the side of the vehicle allowed young Caucasus journalists to visit Paris, Lion, Strasbourg, Amsterdam, Brussels, Andover and Bergen. They were also able to film these locations, and show their own stories to Europeans on the vehicle’s video wall.

This trip also allowed the young journalists to experience how life was like in Europe. Upon their arrival back home, they used the footage to produce the television stories which were broadcasted in the youth television program “Our Express” in Georgia. These are six 3-4 minute television stories which narrate about the young journalists’ trip to Europe; what they saw and what impressed them the most.
