Documentary "Punishment under 18"

The film is about juvenile delinquents, it depicts the life and ways of the youth prison as well as difficult life of street children. Many of them usually end up in jail. The main respondent featured in the film – 16 year old Nika was released from prison a month ago. He doesn't know what direction his life will take. There are no prevention, rehabilitation or reintegration programs for juvenile offenders in Georgia. In order to tackle that problem the European Union launched a project directed at helping juvenile delinquents in Georgia. The project aims at substituting prison terms for juvenile offenders with alternative measures, registration of those delinquents and their psychological rehabilitation. The film describes how that project is being conducted.
