The cover of the supplement devoted to two important events occurred recently. In the first article on the front page, journalist delved into a presentation took place at “Radisson SAS” hotel. The EU funded projects which are presumed to be conducted by the consortium of different organisations, envisages Media development in Georgia. The Media Strengthening Programme for Georgia is funded by the European Union’s Instrument for Stability mechanism, which aims to create stability in countries affected by crisis by preserving, establishing or re-establishing the conditions essential to the proper implementation of the EU’s development and co-operation policies. The event which was opened by the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, ambassador Per Eklund, mainly covered the existing problems in Georgian media and presented the project to the attending guests. Hence, journalist has gone through the main premises of the event and outlined the project details. The author also discussed the current situation with regard to Georgian media and presented it from different angles.

The second article on the front page touched upon the news related to Internal Displaced People. The project which has been financed by the European Union, intended assistance to three community centres in Kvemo Kartli. Precisely the EU financed project aims to support non-formal education programmes and social economic development in this very region. Project which has started in August 2009 costs 1 million Euro and it is carried out by ACF (Spanish NGO), German - dvv international and Georgian CIDA. Therefore, the event which attracted the attention of the author mainly covered the opening of the educational centres in a village of Koda and the same type of event, which has occurred in western Georgia (Village Jvari).

An article on the third page referred to the work programmes of Eastern Partnership, multilateral thematic platforms for 2009-2011 are now available on the European Commission website. Journalist discussed each and every platform of the initiative and gone through the premises whereon the programme stands for. 1) Democracy, good governance and stability; 2) Economic Integration and Convergence with EU Policies; 3) Energy Security and 4) Contacts between People where the main areas of discussion in the article.

One more article has been devoted to the European Neighbourhood Policy and journalist continued brief description of the programmes which are carried out through it. The author reviewed major issues of the projects available for ENP countries and mainly covered the Regional Component of the project. TAIEX, SIGMA and TWINNING – were the programmes, have been gone through by the author and he discussed the eligibility of the applicants on those projects. The article mainly had a descriptive face.

The very last article touched upon the educational programmes carried out by the European Union. Erasmus Mundus, which in this case is the subject of Interest for Georgian citizens, was the main issue of the article. The author discussed the details of the project, to whom it applies and what are the benefits students and the European Union itself get out of this programme. Apart from the Erasmus Mundus programme, which is designed for the entire world, journalist also discussed another educational programme – Erasmus, which is itself an European project and applies only to EU 27 member states, Candidate countries and EFTA/EEA member countries. For the end of the article, the author discussed opportunities of Georgian applicants and the programmes which are specifically conducted through bilateral cooperation.
