Nino Shatberashvili - EU Support to Child Welfare Reform Project Director;

Gela Chiviashvili – Social Service Agency.  Head of Social programs department;

Mikheil Kordzakhia  – “The Georgian Employers' Association”.  Executive director.

In the program also took part Nana Iashvili, head of non-governmental organization “Child and Environment”

Invited guests spoke about the policy and programs, which Georgian government implements for  solving social problems, as well as the child welfare projects implemented in the frames of these programs and the processes, going in the frames of social dialogue a result of governments, employers associations and trade-unions consultations with international labor organization.

What social programs exist  nowadays in Georgia, how many families are registered in the database of the families being in helpless situation, what criteria should be satisfied from the families to get this aid, how long does the re-checking need, what kind of the statistic data is according to the months, how these issues are regulated at a legislation level –  Gela Chiviashvili spoke about these issues.

Through the program we introduced to the audience several social projects, which are implemented by the support of European Union

One of them is EU “Child Welfare Reform” supporting project, second one is “. Day Centre-Significant Support to Community Mobilization & Building of Civil Society”. About this project Nana Iashvili, head of non-governmental organization “Child and Environment”
