International Environmental conventions – Aarhus Convention

European neighborhood policy action plan advices Georgian government “to work out the legislation and procedures, which will make the environmental information more accessible and provide society participation in environmental activities including implementation of “Aarhus Convention”.
Invited guests talked if Georgia has complied this request, if we have adopted legislation and if the procedures are inculcated, which will make the information about environmental condition accessible for the society.
It’s very important to raise awareness level of the society in EU countries. One of the subjects of the program was also, if Georgian public and European public are different in this field. How our public is interested in environmental issues and how active we are if we are conscious of our duties and responsibilities to be involved in decision making process.
