European Union is  helping the Black Sea countries in support of environmental programs.One of the initiatives like this is  project implemented by financial support of EU – “Cooperation in Environmental Protection in the Black Sea”. Project has begun from 2007 and included several components – integrated managment of Black Sea Coastal Zone and harmonizing legislation regarding water with the EU Water Framework Directive.

The common aim of the project was supporting sustainable development processes in the frames of Black Sea Catchment, including prevension and reduction of polluted substances got in the sea, also in the way of protecting natural resources of Black Sea Catchment

the invited guests explained to the listeners what does integrated management of Black Sea coastalzone mean and why this approach is very important
