Internews arranged the information seminar ‘Making Sense of EU’ for Kutaisi University Students
On May 29-30 the Making Sense of EU two-day information seminar was held for students of Kutaisi A. Tsereteli State University.
The EU institutions, the role of EU in the global policy and EU cooperation with Georgia were discussed in the course of the seminar.

The workshop was held within the framework of the Internews Georgia project Making Sense of EU funded by EU. The overall goal of the project is raising awareness of the Georgian youth about EU structures and characteristics of EU work.
Within the framework of the project seminars will be held for students and professors in six different cities across Georgia (Gori, Kutaisi, Batumi, Telavi, Zugdidi, Akhaltsikhe). First seminar was held on April 3-4 for students of Gori University.
In the course of the seminar the students will be shown the documentaries on the EU activities. Students took active part in the discussions held.
Upon the completion of the seminar ten participants prepared the thesis on EU-Georgian relations. Four best authors were awarded with prizes – MP3 players. All seminar participants were awarded certificates.
Following information seminar in frames of the Making Sense of EU project will be held on June 26-27, for students of Sh. Rustaveli State University of Batumi.
